You will need to enable the Remote Login for your user to be able to use SSH or perform remote builds on your Dedicated server. You can enable Remote Login using the GUI, or SSH, as shown below. Note, the steps are slightly different depending on which macOS you are running.

Enable Remote Login on macOS Ventura and later

• Log Onto your Dedicated Server

• Open "System Preferences" from the Apple Menu

• Click "General" and "Sharing"

• Enable "Remote Login" by clicking the slider on the right

Enable Remote Login on macOS Monterey and older

• Log onto your Dedicated server

• Open "System Preferences" from the Apple Menu

• Click on "Sharing"

• Check the box for "Remote Login"

Enable Remote Login via Terminal

• Use the command line: sudo systemsetup -setremotelogin on

• To verify that remotelogin is enabled use: sudo systemsetup -getremotelogin
